One of the keys in obtaining good results in your work is to use techniques that help you to be more productive and that allow you, in some way, to make a difference. In my personal case, investigating methodologies and tools helps me to be more creative and to optimize our processes.
So I encourage you to investigate everything that is coming out on the market and value the effect that their implementation can have. As Steve Jobs said:
Innovation is what distinguishes a leader from others.
Today we can find tools of all kinds; from extensions of chrome, software to help you in the search of candidates, ATS, apps, etc … We all know that the technological world is constantly evolving and every week new “toys” come out to play with.
Chrome extensions for Recruiters
Contactout: This extension of chrome finds the emails of the profiles that you consider interesting and also not only finds the email but also the social networks in which they have activity. Its percentage of success is 61%, rather more than the rest of similar tools, and it is necessary to emphasize that it allows you to save the profiles and to store all the information in a CSV.
Buffer: Powerful tool to create publications from the same site, save time, and diffuse in different social networks. You can also schedule posts and track the performance of your content, knowing when is best to publish according to your audience and becoming, little by little, an influencer!
Social Talent: A classic! It helps you perform Boolean searches in the simplest way: you must enter the skills and parameters you need, and the tool itself makes keyword recommendations so you can reach more candidates.
Other applications of great use
Calendly: I have been using this application for some time and the truth is that it works wonders. Stop crossing emails asking about availability and trying to match diaries! With Calendly you can send the link of your calendar and the person who receives it can indicate when is good for them, generating at the same time the appointment in your calendar and in theirs
Appear in: Here is another of my favourite apps! Honestly, I’m tired of having to install applications to make video calls or having to add / search for users. With Appear there are no users, you simply create your “room”, share the link and just click and you can see, without installing anything or looking for anyone! In addition, in the free version, up to 4 people can be connected simultaneously. It works wonderfully!
Textio: I still have not had the chance to try it in depth but the truth is that they have a very cool product. Textio advises you how to write better job offers and recommends positive words that cause a better perception for the candidates. It impresses me how through artificial intelligence they are able to understand what you write about and analyze more than 10 million offers.
Finally, the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
Undoubtedly, in this sector we can find many tools, but I have chosen a pair that have a low price and that offer a wide range of functionalities really useful for day to day needs.
However, first let’s explain what an ATS is! Basically, an ATS is software that facilitates the management of all the stages involved in a recruitment process, from when the candidates apply until one of them is finally hired.
An adequate use of this online system offers many advantages such as storing, filtering and sharing all information, improving external / internal communication and above all saving time. The key to take advantage of an ATS is to work the “tags” very well and write down all the information, having all the candidates under control and giving them feedback on how the process is going or how it has gone.
And the finalists are:
Recruitee: It is one of the best valued on the market “quality-price ratio”. You can rate the profiles; send emails through the tool itself, create pools of candidates, get super detailed reports and of course embed in your own website offers through Recruitee without the need to enter to program. Obviously, it allows you to publish your job offers in different portals and have all the candidates in this platform, being able to analyze which are the channels that work best for each position.
Breezy: It is very similar to Recruitee, they have practically the same functions, and, probably, the only difference is that Breezy allows you to install a chatbot on your website to maintain direct communication with the candidates that visit it. It should be noted that it is very easy to use, very practical and with a very friendly interface.
Both ATS have their own chrome extension and with a simple click the candidate can synchronize his Linkedin profile with the platform, including the photo, a fact that greatly simplifies the flow.
By the way! Before finishing, I just wanted to clarify that none of these tools paid me to advertise them.
